Refinement of MashUp!

For our third class of OBDF 110, we have time to critique our pieces of remixed objects which comes from a new generation of one of the culture. During the class when we discussed about our works, I got some feedback for higher quality of the mash-up model. We reviewed each member's works, and shared our idea, critique.  Tinkercad is just a simple program that we can easily approach to a 3D media culture, and how to create 3D model. So, in result, my works that made by this program were good, but look just simple as I mentioned, and mesh. A piece of my work that I chose, the surface of the stapler was not smooth and uneven. It is a complement of last project by using Meshmixer, and put more details and make more clearly.

This stapler, which is original model, has wrinkle and not smooth.

Also the same. I think the surface of the teeth needs more detail.

There's my result.
I mixed them that the inorganic object became the part of human.

When you see the image in an instant, it was not changed, but exactly not.
I know this work is uploaded to POTW on last week, but I wanted to refine it.

cleaning back and looks closer to a real stapler

it has two perspectives. At first, I fixed it more angulate that goes closer to a real stapler, but on the other side, it is like soft gum(flesh inside of the mouth) to feel its texture real flesh.

The tooth that attaching with stapler together; it is more natural.

When I created this work before refining it, my imagination of the similarity of both two objects(chew something) was its meaning. However, In this time, I painted the edge of the teeth to be seen as decayed tooth for having other meaning of the work.

It does not have any important or deep meaning in fact. When you use a stapler, sometimes content(metal lead of stapler) goes wrong like being broken. I indicated this to make decayed tooth that it is destroyed. The other one, when I was younger and get hurt from the stapler, I expressed this feeling as this decayed teeth. However, as I articulate the work realistically, there is a contrast that tooth are harder than you think(and than the stapler leads) when it compares with other physical objects. As this picture is shown the media culture simply, people can encounter a new type of media culture, and learn the understandings of remix culture more easily that both two or more meanings can exist at the same time in one image.
